What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser to remember information about you between requests. They're how sites know you're logged in, remember your preferences, or measure traffic.
Categories we use
We split cookies into two groups: essential and analytics. Essential cookies make the site work. You can't disable them and still use the app. Analytics cookies are optional — we only set them after you accept the cookie banner.
Essential cookies
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in. Without it, the app can't remember who you are between requests. | 30 days from last activity |
| __Secure-authjs.session-token | Same as above, used in production over HTTPS. | 30 days from last activity |
| authjs.csrf-token | Protects against cross-site request forgery on auth forms. | Session |
| age_verified | Records that you confirmed legal drinking age on your first visit. | 1 year |
| cookie_consent | Records your choice on the cookie banner so we don't show it again. | 1 year |
Analytics cookies
We don't set any analytics cookies right now. If we add them (e.g., Vercel Analytics, Plausible), this page will be updated and the cookie banner will require your explicit consent before they load.
How to control cookies
- Reject analytics: choose "Essential only" on the cookie banner the first time you visit, or clear the
cookie_consentcookie to be re-prompted. - Block all cookies in your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Note that this will sign you out and disable features that need state, like remembering you between visits.
